I bought this combo for a kitchen remodel job and love it. Tools are solid, and the batteries last forever! Seriously, the charges on the Lithium Ion batteries last longer than any other technology I’ve ever owned. I have had Milwaukee, Makita, Porter Cable etc. all with NiCad or NiMh batteries – but this set outlasts them all! The other NiCad batteries only lasted a few years before you had to buy replacements, which cost as much as the tool itself. With a lifetime warranty on both the tools AND the batteries, how can you go wrong? As for the other reviewer saying these are heavy, I guess that depends on your point of reference…my Porter Cable circular is a tank and weighs as much, so these feel feather light by comparison, they are very powerful and have solid construction that should test Ridgid’s LIFETIME WARRANTY! BTW, mine came with a snazzy 45 degree twisting Compact Florescent Light (CFL) rather than the light pictured here. The light is free-standing and should last 20 years at least. My only wish is that the set had the matching cordless Jigsaw rather than the compact impact driver (which I don’t use that often), but I picked up the jigsaw separately for at HD. I love my Ridgid R963 X3 5 piece 18-V LION tool set…and expect it to last decades! Pick one up today, you won’t be disappointed.

I am a marine contractor who does installation and repair on all types of yachts and I purchased this set a little over six months ago and use it on a daily basis. I couldn’t be more satisfied with it. The drill and impact driver are of excellent quality and they are small and light. I have no problem getting them in to tight spaces and using them for hours on end. The battery life when using these two tools is excellent and I have to only charge the batteries once or twice a week.

The other tools are not so great on battery life and not as powerful. If you are a professional carpenter who spends a lot of time with a circular saw, I’m sure you wouldn’t buy this set with the intention of the battery saw replacing your mainstay. On the other hand, I love not having to go look for an extension cord when I need to make a quick cut. The grinder is also terrible on battery life and nowhere near as powerful as a decent corded grinder. Again, I love having it for quick cuts, and every once in a while, for some quick sanding. It cannot run more than 15 minutes constantly on a fully charged battery. The reciprocating saw seems to be best on battery life, but that may be just because it is really not the kind of tool that I use for more than a few minutes at a time.

Now, in terms of a comparison with other tool companies, I would have to say that the Dewalt stuff really feels stronger. It is all much heavier. The makita impact has a few little plastic things on it, like a glow in the dark ring around the business end of it, that are poorly put on and kind of trashy. My impression is that dewalt doesn’t pull stuff like that. On the other hand, I am happy with how much smaller and lighter the makita stuff, especially for the huge amount of power that the drill and impact driver have.

As well, makita offers the widest variety of bare tools that run with the same batteries. Granted, I haven’t bothered to purchase any of them yet, but I like to keep my options open!

I purchased this vacuum as a gift for an elderly parent. It is lightweight, maneuverable and works as described. I did a test drive and experienced no issues putting it together, with the power switch, brush bar switch, or the wand and attachments.

In fact, it worked better than my powerful DC07 Animal on my entryway rug. That seemed very odd to me. Turns out that the hose that is underneath the DC07 had a rip in it and was losing suction, but I had not noticed because I still received full suction power when using the attachments. I’m so glad I bought the DC24 – otherwise who knows when I would have finally noticed the ripped hose on my DC07?

Vacum cleaner arrived undamaged in box. It was easy to assemble. It has great suction and really picks up te dirt. We have a dog, a cat and a baby. At the time the baby was just beginning to crawl, our old vacuum cleaner (a Dirt Devil, and a piece of garbage if there ever was one) was starting to die. It would pick up everything (eventually) but the carpet never really looked clean.

I decided to pitch the old vacuum and invest in a new one. After much research, I chose the Dyson Animal. I gulped a bit at the price, but decided that I’d at least try it out; after all, I’d bought the much cheaper Dirt Devil twice, and both times, it had completely stunk.

I was sold after five minutes. By ten minutes, I was convinced it was one of the best household purchases I’d ever made. I’m still of that opinion today, five months later.

I could not believe how easy the Animal was to use. It went places our old upright would never go, and did so with ease. It was actually fun to vacuum! That first day, I’d just intended to vacuum our living room, and twenty minutes later, I was halfway across the house, still marveling at what I was getting up.

I’d just vacuumed the day before…but the first time I ran the Animal, I had to stop twice in each room to empty the canister. I was appalled at how much dirt and hair still lingered on an apparently clean carpet! The extension is so easy to use, too – I felt as if I never really had to break stride to use it, so I was much more inclined to do detail cleaning than I had been.

It’s incredibly lightweight, especially compared to my old uprights, and extremely manuverable. We’ve yet to have any of the perennial belt problems we used to have. Also, while I do have to empty the canister frequently, I’m also able to sprinkle some lavender buds into the canister to lend a lovely fresh odor while I vacuum. I also like seeing what I’m picking up. I rescued an earring just the other day. In our old bag upright, that would have been lost.

Bottom line: Buy this, especially if you live in a place with a lot of dust or with animals. You absolutely will not be sorry.

I have spent 00 on a vacuum (Kirby) which was heavy and bulky, and then (00) on a Rainbow. Again, heavy and bulky. Both just did not preform to my liking. Then in 2000 I moved to England and while living there, I bought a Dyson, not the Dyson Ball, back in 2000 they only had the single cyclone. And with just one cyclone I was highly impressed. I have spent over a thousand dollars twice on vacuums and nothing could beat my Dyson. I had to move back to America in 2008, and the one item I wanted to bring to America with me was my very much loved Dyson, but America runs on a different amps here, and would not run my English Vacuum. Once back, I bought a 5 cyclone upright Eureka. The vacuum never had a great suction power, and it was always getting clogged. After using it for 1 1/2 years, I broke down and bought the Dyson Ball!!! It’s even better than my loved vacuum I had in England. This has excellent suction power, incredible actually, it also is very light weight, moves with ease and self adjust when I go over different floor types!! That is such a plus, I have 3 types of carpet in my house and also tile and wood flooring and this wonderful vacuum will adjust itself instead on my reaching down to turn a dial like my old vacuum.

So, I can not say enough about the Dyson Ball, it is worth any money you spend!!

We bought this for our 4 yr old grandson and he loves it. His 1 yr old brother loves it too. It’s nice and roomy inside so several kids can play in it at once. It is the hit of the neighborhood kids. It seems very sturdy. There is no floor though, so we created our own. The other down side is it required alot of detail painting otherwise it is all gray. We think it was well worth the price and effort though. We highly recommend this product.
